Many thanks for your prompt reply. I do understand the angle of your article and am grateful for your further explanation. I also concur with your comment that at least a conviction was obtained – something my sister and my family were very keen to achieve.
However, our frustration is compounded further by the fact that Barbara Allmey has paid no more than £50 towards her compensation, despite the judge stating that if she had not paid the full sum within one month [if my memory serves me correctly], she would go into custody for 14 days.
Justice just does not seemed to have been carried out and we are at a loss as to how these things get enforced. Why even impose a sentence if the conditions of the sentence will not be enforced. It doesn’t inspire at all.
